Job description:
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team at the Upland location. The ICU RN will provide critical care nursing to patients with life-threatening conditions, requiring advanced monitoring and high-level interventions.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe, evidence-based, and compassionate nursing care to critically ill patients.
- Monitor and assess patients’ conditions, recognizing and responding promptly to changes.
- Administer medications, IV infusions, and treatments as ordered.
- Operate and manage critical care equipment (ventilators, cardiac monitors, infusion pumps, etc.).
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
- Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families.
- Document all care provided accurately and timely in the patient’s medical record.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- Current California RN license (required).
- Minimum of 2 years ICU nursing experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certification (required).
- Strong critical thinking, assessment, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to remain calm and perform effectively under pressure.
