Position: Cath Lab RN

PAY RATE:$70-$75 PER HOUR
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to patients before, during, and after cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures
- Prepare patients for procedures including assessment, consent verification, IV access, and pre-op education
- Assist physicians during procedures such as cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, stent placements, pacemaker insertions, and other vascular/cardiac interventions
- Administer medications and conscious sedation as ordered, while continuously monitoring patient response
- Operate and monitor hemodynamic equipment, cardiac monitors, and other Cath Lab-related devices
- Recognize and respond quickly to cardiac emergencies, changes in patient condition, and code situations
- Maintain sterile technique and ensure a safe procedural environment
- Monitor patients during recovery and provide post-procedure care and discharge instructions
- Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, medications, and outcomes in the electronic medical record
- Collaborate closely with cardiologists, radiology staff, technologists, and interdisciplinary care teams
- Participate in on-call rotation as required by facility needs
- Adhere to hospital policies, patient safety standards, and infection control guidelines
Required Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of assignment
- Minimum 1 year of recent Cath Lab RN experience
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Current ACLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Experience with conscious sedation, hemodynamic monitoring, and circulating in Cath Lab procedures
- Strong knowledge of cardiac rhythms, emergency protocols, and interventional cardiology procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure and critical care situations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous travel nursing experience
- Experience in EP Lab or Interventional Radiology is a plus
- BSN
