Position Summary
The Outpatient RN provides high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in an outpatient clinical setting. The nurse will assist providers with patient assessments, care coordination, diagnostic procedures, and follow-up care. Experience in administering allergy/immunology injections is highly preferred, along with strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Duties
- Provide direct nursing care following established clinical protocols and physician instructions.
- Administer allergy injections, biologics, and immunotherapy safely and accurately (preferred).
- Monitor patients post-injection for adverse reactions and document outcomes.
- Perform patient assessments, intake, vital signs, and triage as needed.
- Assist with diagnostic tests, specimen collection, and medication administration.
- Maintain sterile technique and adhere to infection-control policies.
- Prepare treatment rooms, equipment, and supplies for daily operations.
- Support patient education regarding treatment plans, allergies, medications, and follow-up care.
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted RN license.
- Current BLS certification.
- Previous outpatient or ambulatory care experience preferred.
- Experience with allergy injections, immunotherapy, or immunology patient care highly preferred.
- Excellent communication, clinical assessment, and multitasking skills.
