Job description
MRI Technologist is responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
procedures to obtain detailed images of patients' internal structures for diagnostic purposes. The
role includes preparing patients, operating MRI equipment, ensuring the quality of images, and
adhering to safety and regulatory standards. The MRI Tech collaborates with radiologists and
other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care and accurate diagnostic
information.

- Equipment: Toshiba 1.5 scanner
- Certs: ARRT and BLS.
- Setting: Acute care hospital - not designated trauma facility but sees a lot of trauma and high acuity.
- 427 Total Patient Beds - Average Census 187 patients between inpatient & observation patients combined
- Certified Cardiac & Stroke Center, EP, Open Hearts, ED, rehab, surgical services, ICU, Level III NICU, PICU,
- Wound care, Diabetes Clinic. Several travelers who have worked within this facility have commented on the teamwork,
- Supportive staff, and everyone being very welcoming to them.
- Not a designated Trauma center
- Parking is free. Travelers will obtain parking pass from security during orientation (locked/gated/security cameras).
- Staff can always request security assist to vehicle.
- Open during the day/evening (closes at 6pm)
- Travelers are the 1st to float.
- BMH travelers will not float outside of the facility but they will float to any areas within their skillset.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology,
- MRI Technology, or a related field.
- Certification: ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) MRI certification
- (ARRT(MRI)) or ARMRIT required.
- BLS/CPR Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience as an MRI Technologist preferred.
