Unit Notes
- - Unit: Radiology & CT, MRI Tech, Nuclear Med Tech, US Tech
- - What areas do they do imaging: MRI will do MRI, Radiology will do XR and CT, Nuclear Med will do Nuclear uc med, US will do everything unless peri-natal
- - Certs/ARRT: Nuclear Med techs-do you require certification (CNMT): Radiology will need CA license (CRT) and R-credential, certified CT preferred, fluoro license required and BLS is required
- - EMR/Equipment: Cerner, DR Pacs, Phillips
- - Radiology Supervisor: Yes
- - Weekend Requirement: depends on their need, sometimes they will need someone to work all weekends
- - Holidays: work in as needed
- - Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: yes
- - IV Team: No
- - RT 24/7: Yes
- - Pharmacy 24/7: Yes
- - Shifts: 10 or 12 hr shifts (Rad/CT), 10's (MRI Tech), 8's (Nuc Med Tech), 10's or 8's (US Tech)
- - Common types of imaging/studies performed: All XR and CT, All MRI, All Nuc Med Scans, All US (except echo and Legs) perinatal will be only high risk OB
Job description:
We’re looking for experienced and professional candidates who can independently perform all procedures with high-quality results. As a CT Tech, you’ll:
Prepares, administers, and measures radioactive isotopes in therapeutic, diagnostic, and tracer studies Obtain images, produces film records and backups from disk to storage media, and transfers from desk to PACS stations
- Maintains accurate study documentation
- Performs a variety of tasks
- A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required
- Administers radiation intravenously to detect or treat diseases under the direction of a physician.
- Detects and maps radiopharmaceuticals in patients’ bodies.
- Process cardiac function studies.
- Calculates, measures, and records radiation dosage or radiopharmaceuticals received, used, and disposed of.
- Records and processes results of procedures.
- The company reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 to 3 Years of experience
- Candidates must have ARRT(R)(CT) certification
- Florida State License and Venipuncture permit
- BLS certification
