Job Summary:
Job Summary:
MRI Technologist is responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
procedures to obtain detailed images of patients' internal structures for diagnostic purposes. The
role includes preparing patients, operating MRI equipment, ensuring the quality of images, and
adhering to safety and regulatory standards. The MRI Tech collaborates with radiologists and
other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care and accurate diagnostic
information.

Department: Radiology – MRI
we will accept ARMRIT, but still need an Oregon State license.
General Certification Requirements (BLS, etc.) BLS, Oregon State (OBMI) license in MRI, ARRT certification in MRI
Certs/ARRT & other specialty certification requirements - BLS, Oregon State (OBMI) license in MRI, ARRT certification in MRI
How many scanners/rooms does this department have= 1
Will they have to float/cover any other areas= NO
Common types of imaging/studies performed & Job Duties MSK, MRA, Abdomen, head, carotids
Experience or 'Must have' skills at least 3 years experience (preferably on GE scanners)
Average # of scans/studies per day 12
EMR &/or PACS (Picture Archive & Communication System: software & hardware) do they use PACS- McKesson and RIS- Meditech
Department Specific Equipment (GE, Phillips, Siemens) GE 1.5T
Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech Dan Scheive MRI Lead Tech
Do they use RRA's (Registered Radiology Assistants)? Yes
Radiologist in-house=Yes
Do they have to start IV's= (if applicable to the department) Yes
Shifts & Scheduling Tues-Fri 9a-730p
Weekend Requirement No
Holiday Requirement Yes- on call
Call or Standby requirement=holiday only (7a-3p)
Scrub Color/Dress Code: Are scrubs provided= Supplied by department
Department specific orientation Will be performed 1st day
Additional Notes Will be solo MR tech at the hospital from 3p-730p ,with others in dept. for moving help and dedicated imaging dept. transporter
