Job Description: CT Tech Days Traveler

Position Summary: The CT (Computed Tomography) Tech Days Traveler is responsible for providing high-quality imaging services to patients at various healthcare facilities. This position involves traveling to different locations, operating CT equipment, ensuring accurate imaging, and delivering exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate is adaptable, highly skilled in CT procedures, and committed to maintaining patient safety and comfort.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. CT Imaging Operations:

    • Perform CT imaging procedures per physician orders and departmental protocols.
    • Operate and maintain CT equipment, ensuring proper functionality and calibration.
    • Utilize imaging techniques to obtain high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation.
  2. Patient Care:

    • Prepare and position patients for CT scans, ensuring comfort and accurate positioning.
    • Explain procedures to patients and address any concerns to reduce anxiety.
    • Monitor patients during procedures and respond to any medical emergencies.
  3. Compliance and Safety:

    • Adhere to all safety protocols, including radiation safety and infection control standards.
    • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and other legal requirements.
    • Follow policies and procedures for contrast administration and handle any related complications.
  4. Documentation and Communication:

    • Accurately document patient information, scan details, and other relevant data.
    • Communicate effectively with physicians, radiologists, and healthcare teams regarding patient scans and findings.
  5. Travel and Adaptability:

    • Travel to various healthcare facilities, adapting to different environments and equipment.
    • Flexibly adjust to varying schedules, workflows, and team dynamics.
Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
  • Certification:
    • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Radiography and CT.
    • State-specific licensure, if applicable.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 1-2 years of CT scanning experience, preferably in diverse settings.
    • Previous travel or multi-site experience is a plus.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in operating CT equipment and performing diagnostic procedures.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and efficiently in various settings.
Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, position, and transfer patients as needed.
  • Extended periods of standing and moving during shifts.
  • Capability to handle high-stress environments while maintaining focus.
Schedule:

  • Day shift hours with potential for on-call or weekend coverage.
  • Must be willing to travel and stay in different locations as needed.
Work Environment:

  • Healthcare facilities including hospitals, outpatient imaging centers, and clinics.
  • Exposure to radiation, bodily fluids, and infectious diseases with appropriate safety precautions in place.
