Position: OR Technician

Pay: 30$-35$

Per Diem – OR Surgical Tech (per diem meaning, as needed and not guaranteed hours) Intra OP Surgical Tech for the following specialties : general, gyno, podiatry, laparoscopy, ortho, and urology BLS required Weekday hours 630am – 3pm, standby 3pm – 630am Weekends (Sat, Sun) – standby 24hrs Callback is base rate plus $10/hr

Responsibilities

Secure and prepare all supplies required for surgical intervention
Ensure the preparation and maintenance of the sterile field in OR
Perform instrument counts prior to each procedure
Prepare patient skin for surgical treatment
Position and re-position patient during surgery
Help monitor patients during surgery
Provide supportive care during the pre-operative phase
Perform scrub functions
Collect and label specimens taken during surgical procedure
Follow all federal, state and departmental safety procedures

Surgical Technician qualifications and skills

Diploma required
Surgical technician certification from an accredited college or training program required
3+ years’ experience in a hospital or outpatient operating room
First Aid and CPR certification
Familiarity with all surgical instruments and equipment

Working knowledge of sterile and aseptic technique

Compensation: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
